Organizations that fight obesity and account for cultural diversity

There are many organizations fighting to reduce childhood obesity by helping the children and parents learn about nutrition and exercise. Many of these programs have taken cultural differences into account regarding how to deal with childhood obesity.

The program We Can! Has started a program that is aimed to help Chinese families campaign against childhood obesity.
This program is empowering the chinese community to gain knowledge in areas like physical activity and healthy eating through cooking classes, smart snacking, healthy drinks and food tasting. They use a traditional Chinese family concept in order to reach this community and successfully teach them about nutrition and exercise.
